She won't tell because she says it might spoil her chances at romance... but we can hint.  Let's say Mrs Aurora Hill is better than four score and seven years old.

She celebrated her birthday at a luncheon and card party Thursday at her home on Twelfth Street, N.  It was given by two of her nine grandchildren, Mrs James Denton and Mrs Michael McNally, and one of her daughters in law, Mrs Elmore Hill Jr., and is the first of a series of parties until all of her friends can accept.

"This is the happiest day of my life," said Mrs Hill.  'Not just because of the party but because we've just had word that my other son, Dr. Cleo Miller, is improving.' (Dr Miller has had an extended illness).

Mrs. Hill, whose iron grey hair was recently coifed, was being given a manicure by her daughter-in-law when we arrived at the comfortable yellow brick house just before the party began.  Already a number of guests were coming in.  There were to be four tables for Canasta or Rood 'and we'll play for hours.'

You play for prizes, don't you?

I should say not." said spry Mrs Hill, "We play for money."  Then, in an aside to the assembled guests, she added "I hope all you girls brought your pocketbooks."
